Special flag hoisting ceremony held at Dubai Chamber’s headquarters to commemorate the accession of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE
Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry today hosted a special flag hoisting ceremony in front of its head office in Dubai to celebrate UAE Flag Day and commemorate the accession of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber, H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chamber, senior Dubai Chamber officials, directors, staff and customers.
Addressing attendees, H.E. Al Ghurair described UAE Flag Day as a celebration of unity and pride for UAE citizens and residents, explaining that the national occasion was particularly memorable this year with the first Emirati astronaut recently venturing into space, and said the nation’s flag reaching the International Space Station is a milestone achievement that will open the door to new possibilities.
“UAE Flag Day is an occasion for us to pledge allegiance to the UAE, thank our wise leadership, and renew our commitment to serving this nation to the best of our ability. Through our combined efforts, I am confident that we can work towards a brighter future and keep our flag flying high,” said H.E. Al Ghurair.
